All Engineering Colleges in India - Tution Fee Waiver Scheme - Announced by AICTE

The AICTE has introduced the scheme mandatory for all institution approved by the Council.

Eligibility for admission under TFW.

1. 50 % of the sanctioned intake per course shall be available and the seats shall be supernumerary.
2. Parent’s annual income should be less than Rs. 4.50 Lakhs from all sources.
3. Only tution fee alone will be eligible for waiver.
4. Admitting authority shall be the same as for regular admission. (i.e) thro’ single window.
5. Non-availability of students in this category shall not be given to other category of students.
6. The institution shall publish the details of this scheme in the college brochure and website.
7. Students admitted under this scheme shall not be allowed to change the college / Courses.
8. The admitted students details shall be published in the college website for other stake holders.

TNEA 2014 Counselling Rescheduled



Press Release

The General Academic counseling for Engineering Admission that was
postponed in view of the orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court is
rescheduled to begin on 7.7.2014. The candidates are being informed
directly through individual SMS messages and the detailed counselling
schedule will also be put up in the TNEA website, indicating the date
and time of counselling, based on the individual’s rank.

» Counseling call letters are dispatched to the selected students who have applied for direct second year B.E. admissions 2014.

» The eligible candidates who have not received the call letter are directed to the counseling centre with relevant documents for proof of sending applications as per the above counseling schedule.

» If there is any change in the marks during revaluation, the concerned candidates are directed to report to the revised counseling session as per the revaluation mark and rank.
